This is so weird -- I've spent the day working on the new book, a Living Abroad guide to New Zealand. One of the chapters details the earthquake-proneness of the country and talks about the geology of the area. And now they've had a terrible one, right around the time I was reading this. Yoiks

Man I feel so bad about the weather here in LA with everyone coming for Escapade :/ I know it could be worse but I still want everyone to enjoy the sunny 70s (or at least 60s) it usually is. Reeeally hope you make it out without problems though and looking forward to seeing you there!

Dealing with parental units coming to the end is difficult. Done it twice myself and yes, it's the relatives and/or friends who don't understand which cause the largest amount of grief.

And I hope you have tthe time and energy to tell us what you thought of Fringe.

I'm sorry about your dad's situation being so stressful. However, I am glad to hear that the hospice people are good and that you have some resources that are there to help you and are a relief from the relatives.
