So I leave for Goddard tomorrow. Expect a return of the "Live From Vermont" posts, where I'll be pretty much bitching about how much I hate it there. There is however, one big change.
The people at Goddard have asked me to give an informal orientation tour to the new students on Friday.
I'll let you read that again to really let it sink in. Apparently no one wanted the job. I can't imagine why. I'm supposed to drop in some references to the rich cultural history of Goddard, name-drop some Alumni, and give a few tips and pointers to the incoming G1s from the wizened old G3 that I am now.
Yeah. Me.
Either I'll end up expelled, or crowned Gwydion, King of the Hypocrites.
Tim's Tip of the Day For Living With a Scorpio
Going on a trip? Your Scorpio has started packing. The don't pack 3-4 weeks in advance (please... that's the realm of Virgos), but they're probably ready to go two or three days before you'll actually be leaving. They aren't anal, they just know themselves. They know that when it comes to moving and packing, they will forget about half the things they really need, and pack a bunch of crap that they don't (because you never know). Scorpios aren't absent-minded (you'll never prove it), they simply get distracted by "more important things that require my attention". As a result, they pack when they're focused, and spend the next three days stressing about what they know they forgot to pack. Expect to see their suitcases bulging twice as much by the time you leave, and still hearing at least once on your trip "Aw dammit! I forgot the..."
