* There has been another terrible plane crash in the South China Sea over the weekend, this time an Indonesian Plane. It sounds like they called for international help searching early. Most of the rest of what I'm hearing appears to be speculation. I simply haven't the emotional cushion to properly follow this one. Apologies.

* Republican Steve Scalise, the new House Majority Whip, turns out to have spoken for former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, David Duke's white supremacist organization in 2002. I know some of you are too young to remember when David Duke was a national figure, but trust me, there is no excuse for a Louisiana politician, especially one over forty to not know who David Duke is so either he is lying about never having heard of him or is so completely ignorant of politics in his home state as to make him unqualified for office.
