all of us have the thoughts. the trick is not thinking about a timeframe until it's TIME to think about a timeframe. only then can you let yourself freak out. <3

as much as i love austin, i don't know if i could live there.

well, yeah i guess i probably could simply for the fact that it's AUSTIN, which is another town you don't ever have to stop being cool in. but it feels intimidating in that it's many many hours from anywhere else & so far from the ocean.

short list of cities not named san francisco i could possibly consider living in if you kicked me out of yere. since you're gonna put the proverbial gun to my head. ;) these are in no particular order, btw.

austin, tx.
portland, or.
asheville, nc.
pittsburg, pa.
chicago, il.

the no fucking chance list:
new york
los angeles.
boston.
washington dc area.
anywhere else in texas but austin.
anywhere in florida.
anywhere in ohio.

i think pittsburgh, portland and chicago are on my maybe list too. But...boston is as well.

the anywhere in florida one is also true. hells nah!

That was not directed at you. It was directed at Pete, who has NOT lived in LA. And I don't say SF sucks, even if I hated living there, so be nice. :-P

i know...i grew up in LA. LA might not suck for many...but personally...i would never move back. Unless crazy circumstances brought me there. You can hate SF. thats fair. Its not for everyone. Personally it changed my life and its my favorite city so far. Thats just me.

I don't hate it, and I wouldn't say anything bad about it. We just didn't mix well together, SF and me. ;-)
