Random fangirlling Time
First off, I'm a very, very big fan of a book series called the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik. It is dragons fighting in the Napoleonic Wars, what more can you ask for? And it sounds incredibly realistic. I love the series to bits and pieces, and my copy of the first book is yellowed and the bindings broken to the point where I need a new copy of it--I've had the book for close to seven years now. Heck, Peter Jackson bought the movie rights to it.She also supports fanfiction, as she writes it herself, before she managed to get published, which makes her even more awesome.
And I just discovered that the author has a LJ account here.

I also learned that my uncle is going to ComicCon this summer to promote his comic book. And she'll be there.
So, I am going to mail my books to see if he can get her to autograph them for me.
And in math yesterday, we're going over a new thing in trigonometry called "polar coordinates". I honestly could not stop smiling to myself and if I had been slightly more insane, I would have started giggling in there and I would not be able to explain why. KoK, I'd bet you would get it :)
