War with Islamic extremists
Seriously? Go to war in Syria?
Hasn't anyone come up with a better model for combating religious extremism than going to war with them? Because NOTHING creates more religious extremists better than going to war against them. It's like all we can think of to do with a lernaean hydra is cut off heads. We *KNOW* what happens next. Shouldn't that inform our present actions?
This feels so horribly like political posturing that it makes me nauseated. Like the burrito special for $9.11 in honor of the Twin Towers falling, the exploitation of tragedy just reaches new levels. I am disgusted.
