NaNoWriMo done my way

I just wrote about twelve thousand words, basically, a whole year's worth of blog entries, over the past twenty-four hours or so. I did it in Evernote so I could share the folder with my editor so you get to escape the burden of seeing my first drafts. The format is a letter I send, my Thanksgiving Family Money Letter, which contains links to various articles I've written on the subject. Every subject. All the subjects. OMG, I was way too ambitious, giving basically every tip I've gotten in investment advising, comprehensive planning and tax updates across all the seminars and readings I've done this year. Massive brain dump headed straight to my blog. Content, baby, oh yeah!

Oh, and, I totally updated my website while I was blogging, as one does. I finally got around to figuring out the web to lead tool in my CRM, for example.

The list of things I haven't done is huge and keeps me awake at night, but I'm going to be happy with this for the moment. A short moment. I'm supposed to get up in five hours to put a turkey in the oven at 5 AM to bring to a feast that we need to arrive at by 11 AM tomorrow. Because cooking a 15 pound turkey to be ready by 10:30 AM is how I roll after writing 12,000 words in one day.

do all the things, work, thanksgiving family money letter
