My reviews on 'Shield'
My first post in Chlollie-dom! I had to review 'Shield' I DVR'd it and finally watched it and this will probably be my only review of the year, so bear with me...not sure how this will work. (Warning: a lot of sarcasm ahead)
1. Tom Welling still can't act.
2. Call me unsympathetic, but I wanted Deadshot to shoot Cat Grant so I could be put out of my misery as a viewer. I know her backstory was that she had a kid, and she was hiding herself away and blah blah blah...I was going to shoot her myself.
3. How in the hell did Oliver change into his Green Arrow gear so fast?
4. The last scene with both Oliver and Clark? Uh - what? So, Clark is treating Chloe like an equal and they should respect that? Oliver has been treating Chloe like an equal for awhile, Clark. And while Chloe traded herself for Oliver to save his life, Lois left because...hell, I'm not even sure why she left in the first place. At least Clark knows where she's at. It’s like Clark did a 180 in the last month. Woo! I talked to my dead human dad in my head and I’m all about clarity!
5. The Carter / Lois interaction about the whole 'love destiny' thing between her and Clark? Not buying it Hawkman. I haven't seen anything like that on this show to suggest that, only that it's 'supposed' to happen because DC said so. I cannot buy the Lois/Clark Smallville version romance. It’s clunky.
6. The last scene with Clark on the building wearing the lame jacket and the slicked back hair? Was he auditioning for the revival of Grease? It was so cheesy I should have taken my lactaid pill before I saw it. It should come as a warning sign - ‘Abundance of cheese. Lactose Intolerant people should not watch.’
7. Tess has officially taken over the role of exposition person. Yay!
I’m sorry Smallville, I can’t watch your show anymore. Give me youtube scenes of Justin Hartley and some Allison Mack later on and that’s my season. I’m sticking to Supernatural and Psych when it comes back on air in November.
