Friends and Friendship

I have always been the sort of person who has a lot of aquaintances and very few true friends. Especially in high school (though that was more of a case of a few good friends and that's it), but even to this day there are few people I actually consider friends

For what it's worth, I know I'm erratic and unreliable as a friend. Part of that is that I want to be everyone's friend, and so i spread myself thin and annoy more people than I please.

That and, well, I'm pissing off soon, so there's no point letting people like me now.

If I've disappointed you, I'm sorry. But I still want you to come to my party.

I know what you saying and how you feel. I think I have only three or four people that I would call true friends. And sadly none in this country... I think I am a nice enough person, and people like to call me their friend, but like you, when it's convenient for them. Sometimes I wonder if being misanthropic would be a better choice.

I think most people are in the same boat. A few close real genuine friends and a bunch of people who are more than aquainances but not really friends as such.
