(no subject)
One of my bands 'Rochambeau' played tonight for a private party to the VIP's of Todd Harrell's "Search for the next RockStar" thing. It was at the Grand Gport. A few lable owners, and A&R, the owners of the Hard Rock casino, Chris Henderson, radio cats from around the country, Bill Holms, some dude from MTV...and us.
We were our usual goof-ball selves...I'm making comments like "relax guys, it's a bunch of music industry people...like..oh sure...they're going to know if we're any good or not". LOL!
We pretty much tore the joint down! I for some reason was having a rather good night in the ol 'lick' dep, so things tended to catch fire! 'Voodoo Child' was one that stands out...and some Almand Bros tune the band threw at me 5 min before we went on..."uh sure...uh...what key is it in"?
Todd got up and played with us. He wouldn't play bass, but he played accustic git on a funked out version of 'Knocking on Heavens door' we pulled out of our ass.
T'was a fun evening!
On a side note I test for my Blue belt in Tae Kwon Do in 2 days!
