It's official. I'm going to attempt NaNo for the 4th year in a row. I just paid for my Alphasmart! Hopefully it'll get here before Wednesday! After looking at the
Neo, I decided to go with the
AlphaSmart 3000 model. From what I've read, the 3000 is great if it's your first, and it's remarkably more affordable than the Neo. I mean, I paid $50 for mine used on eBay, which comes with a AC adapter if I need it, and the USB cord is only $10 from the Alphasmart store. Plus, from what I can tell, it's a really cute teal color, which is a bonus. The only thing it lacks is a word count tool, but I guess that could be a good thing considering the fact that I used it too much in Word. Now, I want to go and find a cute tote/bag to keep it in, or maybe go make one out of a fabric that's a bit padded or something. I really just want it to get here so I can fiddle around with it. I've wanted one since I first heard about them, and now I finally have one!
Also, I talked to my manager this week and he's willing to cut 1 shift from my work schedule every week. So instead of working 32 hours a week, it's more like 24. I actually have next Saturday completely off! I'm almost beside myself. So maybe this whole juggling school, work and Nano thing won't be as terribly difficult as I thought....
Huzzah!
