Here is a website for finding partners for language exchanges over Skype. This has the potential to be much better than a classroom, since typing can be much faster & much more legible than handwriting.

XLingo seems to be another reasonable, free language exchange site, in the midst of paid sites.

My German teacher (one of them) is a language geek like myself, and today we went over a few verbs in Präsenz (present) and Vorgangenheit (simple past), and the 4 cases. Quite exciting! Confusing also.
