1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
went to college. hated it. started seeing people as liberals and conservatives... got SO political. i probably realized im going to major in sociology... joined a chorus. um... finally bought a (not-so-good) game for my ps2, which i got in 2002. went over the concept of suicide in my head, but never came at all close to even start to consider doing it. so dont fucking worry about it. went one more year knowing for sure what it is i want to do with my life (thats four years running).
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i dont do that. the only new-years resolution i ever made was to never speak to dado again, and that was in 2001, and i broke it two years later. he apologized this year, and closure was reached, i suppose.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
not really. this girl in my acting class did, though. then she came back to class like that same week... i dont know. that seemed kinda wrong to me. but like my teacher said, "oh look, you got so much skinnier!" no shit, sherlock.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
no. i dont think so.
5. What countries did you visit?

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
a relationship? i dont know. COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY. I WANT A RELATIONSHIP WITH COLUMBIA U.
7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
i have the best long-term memory ever, so a lot of days. chronologically: february 15, i broke up with daryl. july 25... when i met chris. november 3... not so much for the election, but it was coincidentally the most depressing day of my life. seriously, it was a coincidence. i think.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
i didnt go off the deep end
9. What was your biggest failure?
i dont fail. bitch.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
psychologically. not really. i have had a cold the last couple weeks though.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
MY IPOD <3 (add july 15 to the date list, thats when i bought it)
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
my own.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
bush's. and to a small extent, President Kerry's, because he really didn't do a good enough job of convincing people that bush is shit. also, the staff of GLSEN during TRA, even though GLSEN is still an organization with wonderful goals.
14. Where did most of your money go?
sushi. where else? certainly not into buying clothes, which is what i was supposed to have done.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
singing at carnegie hall, i guess. though i kept most of it inside. my walks down from hunter every tuesday and friday... they were fun. certainly not brooklyn college, as it sucks.
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
i dont know... strawberry (thats my ipod) says the song i listened to the most was janet "all nite (dont stop)." so maybe that. i also discovered i love the song "at the stars" by better than ezra... i dont know.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder? neutral. im optimistic that ill be happier next year.
Fatter or skinnier? well... at this time last year, i was at the skinniest id been in years, but it only lasted half-way through january... im gonna say the same.
Richer or poorer? personally richer, but my family is poorer. not like dirt poor or anything, but were not doing as well as we were.

sucking up to columbia? i dont know, i dont regret things.

im a jew, asshole! actually, i dont really care much about winterholiday... though the feeling of the holiday season can be nice, i suppose. i spent december 25 with tanya, watching "spirited away" and being on gaiaonline, which ps. is now my life.

probably chris. actually, definitely chris. i dont talk on the phone much, and he's pretty much the only person i talked to on it.
