Spiral Boy Chapter 2 summary
It's frustrating how little info I've been able to find about this. :/ Here's what I've been able to piece together from a couple of sources. And rest assured, Kamina DOES appear in this chapter (albeit just in a photograph).
Chapter 2: Activation
Despite this being the first time they've met, Nia asks Simon, "Are you the one?"
"This Gunmen 'Lagann' belongs to you, Simon!"
Nia has lost all her memories from before she woke up. The only thing she remembers is that she came to deliver Lagann to him.
Thinking that Simon was hiding the Gunmen he discovered, the boss fires him.
Nia becomes angry at the boss for having wasted Simon's talents making him dispose of junk. "You are in the position to hire people, and yet you have no eye for people at all!"
This boss is quite a bad man compared to the original series.
"Even if it's a kid, there's only one fate for a gangster. To do forced labor in a prison until you die. As for a cute girl like you, naturally you'll just become a plaything for a prisoner."
Nia's words "Simon would not tell a lie!" becomes a clinching phrase for Simon.
Yoko and Kittan, two inspectors working for the city government, find out about Lagann and Nia. When Simon and Nia go to the employment bureau, they are lured into a trap by them. "There's something I want to ask you," Yoko says. What is her objective?
Also, Yoko has a picture of Kamina, who is apparently a wanted man.
Hmmm.
...Yeah, I still don't get what's going on.
