Accommodation in London

I had been waiting till yesterday for my friend to tell me whether she was coming with me to London or not, and in the end she won't be able to, so now I'm looking for a hotel/b&b/whatever to stay in London~

So, does anyone have any recommendations? I'm cheap, and I don't mind if the place is small as long as it's clean (no cockroaches thanks) and not too far away in some god forgotten place.
