I wrote in a previous entry that I can be anywhere in the home health territory of my current employer while I'm on call. I learned today that isn't true, they want me somewhere near the center, "within reasonable distance" of the rest of the territory, e.g. Bloomington or Peoria or maybe Champaign. The old dishwasher that came with my condo started leaking, so I used my Christmas money and bought a new one from Sears. Nothing fancy, but MUCH better than what was in there before. The resounding silence coming from the surgical office I interviewed at is deafening.
