More translating
Sort'a. This happened in high school in German class. It's not really translation in the sense that you're doing it for someone else, but it fits in with the previous post. Sort'a.
The topic I forget. Idioms, maybe. The sentence was: Es ist vier uhr. In my head I was wondering why the teacher would say "I am 4 o'clock."
It took a bit to realize that in german 'es' means 'it', but in Latvian the meaning is "I".
I was translating the sentence using two different source languages. The last three words don't (AFAIK) exist in Latvian.
Strange how the mind works.
BTW - the translation is "It is 4 o'clock". Though "uhr" is literally "hour".
