Power Rankings came out today from John Schuhman. He has the Pistons listed in the number 5 position. Not bad for a team that at the end of last season looked like they were on the decline.
Cleveland is down at number 11. That just seems mean for a team that went to the Finals last year. If you ask Rasheed Wallace, he will tell you that they were never beat by Cleveland. "
It was an inner thing" according to Rasheed. I love it when players think they figured out why they lost a game. Somehow it alters reality and makes that loss less real. If you look at Schuhman's list, Rasheed has skills akin to the
Scarlet Witch.
Boston is up in the rankings due to some acquisitions it made in the off season. I hope that it works out for them. I feel that last year the Eastern Conference was really weak. It almost wouldn't have mattered who made it to the finals, after playing such puff teams in the Eastern Playoffs you were doomed against San Antonio.
I am happy that Detroit is in the top five on this meaningless ranking list. I just wonder if they really deserve to be there.
