lightwt assault rifle; strips of caseless ceramic ammo & programmable 30mm grenades. would have been first solid-state infantry weapon-- very few moving parts. a fucking miracle of design, now it's a pipe dream to work on in my spare time.
[graphic g4a] ammo strip placed into barrel as shown. mako-electrical charge ignites casing, drives slug out w/ such velocity that, even with a three-round burst, user feels no kickback until after volley leaves muzzle.
[graphic g4b] materia guard shown. two linked sets, two single slots. solid state maximizes materia real estate, minimizes interference with parts. beautiful.
