The ride to work this morning just about killed me. I was running on empty. I felt a little better after sleeping most of the weekend away, but it's been steadily draining away as the week progresses.
The good news is that the arthritis has retreated a bit since the first of the month. I was having trouble walking at conference because my hip and heels were bothering me so much (and I was wearing shoes that weren't great for my feet). I was pretty fatigued, then, too. So, less pain this week, but still suffering from the bone-weary fatigue. I hope this improves before I leave for Toronto next month, because at the moment, it makes me tired just to think about it. Of course, even doing the laundry seems to requires more energy than I have to spare right now.
The night boot is definitely helping the heel. That, too, is encouraging. I'm tempted to get another one for the other foot because I have a feeling this is something that will continue to bother me off and on indefinitely. I think the bike may be helping too, because pedaling seems to stretch my feet in beneficial ways.
Crown Tournament is this weekend, and I have a good feeling about my friend JP's chances of winning. Of course, by saying that out loud, I've probably just jinxed him. But my local group is hosting, so he'll have a crowd of supporters cheering him on. I just can't help thinking that his time has come. I have no doubt he'll win it one of these days.
