Hey cats and kittens!
I'd just like to point out that I have officially have a NEW LAYOUT.
My first since I put up my old rainbow of pokemon background in, say, summer of 2005? It's been a long time.
It involved much toil and heartache cuz I had to figure out what they call everything in their html and the order and so on.
It's the starter Pokemon from the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Generation of pokemon. Only Chikorita from the 2nd generation because I don't really like Totodile and Cyndaquil. lol. It's uber-cute I think. I also adapted a blog-looking layout and played with the colours so I could see things better.
So, yeah. CHECK IT OUT.
So.... this week has been kinda hellish, for reasons you can see in the previous post. I have HELLA work to do over spring break. Work on Fri/Sat/Sun and next Fri/Sat/Sun, so my break is four days. Mae/Relient K is Monday night at the Rave with Jeremy and maybe Nate. Tuesday is going to the Museum with Jeremy and Cassi. They're the only two I know are going for sure. Adam too I believe. After that there will be much GD. In fact, GD will likely happen Monday during the day too. This is serious business...
In Web Design 2 this afternoon I told Lisa about all the shit going down and how Kim is difficult and fickle and didn't give us enough time. She said that I shouldn't use my fear of Kim and disliking of me as a reason to absolve myself from the responsibility of saying something. Luckily though I think other people are going to chime in for me. and if not she'll realize by the time we get to April 16th that she could have figured it out more/better. I told Lisa that at this rate the only thing we're going to be able to turn in by the 16th are some last minute sock puppets. But we've already begun getting the word out there so we're gonna have to pull through in the finish.
I'm actually not that upset about the project being due in threeish weeks, just upset about the class.
I was talking to a next-level-up GDer in the Web class and she said that Kim did the same thing to them, except they had one month to do it. How the hell did those bitches pull it off? I just don't get it. We've been doing this for 8 weeks now and we have a bunch of nothing... I guess because the first 6 weeks she was making us do all this research to back up our product. And the formal presentation hoop-jumping.
We (Kahara, Heidi, Katie, and Leigh) were having a little pow-wow at the Table before Web class about all the issues. I don't think Kim really understands how any of use feel about this class and project. As people. Maybe as far as design, but she doesn't seem to grasp our class as a community.
Other than that... Not much to say about this week. It went by fast as per usual. We have smoothly sailed over the Facebook Table Time group administrative drama. I did lots of homework. Business as usual. Actually, not as much homework as I should have done. Because of this silly LJ redesign. But at least it's finished now.
Kahara is in New York for the next week. My camera. Would. Explode. Could you imagine me in New York? And if I went to a foreign country? My camera would commit suicide from all the work. I would easily go past the 10,000 mark. Again. My camera would die. My laptop would be full. I would be happy. I'd be done. I would die. That's it. God would come, chariots burning, and just take me away. That's the kind of bliss I would experience.
Actually, that reminds me, my camera started over at 0000 AGAIN on Saturday night at Mike's house after touring his scary 3rd floor. But it did some sort of weird number jump in December so technically I've only taken 4660 pictures so far. So I'm at almost 15,000 pictures for the lifetime of that camera. SEX.
Aside from Adam being sued for fraud (finally, officially) and Casey telling me the origin of her annoyance with the Ugly Republican Twins and their Suicide Inducing Republican Friend, Sounder, nothing of note really happened this week.
Pam, Ashley, and I just spent our weekly time together. With a dash of Topher, who apparently is unchanging in appearance since high school. Luckily my face has matured, cuz it used to be just plain fat and round. lol. After trying and failing to understand why popular J-Rock bands have lyrics about raping your sister on your parents' grave, I just decided to not think about it. Trying to contemplate the size and culture of Japan actually made my head hurt. Apparently when I'm in no position to be thinking at all (I feel like crap today) I think too hard.
Oh, and I read extensively about having sex with dolphins because one of my blogging classmates wrote about it. From the sounds of it, it's like the ultimate fetish. ?.
Got sick yesterday. Some sort of nose/throat thing. The normal bullshit. Except I haven't been sick in quite some time. I used to get sick all the time. Weird. My nose is burning from the abrasion of the kleenex useage. It's motivating me to go home, like, now, so I can vaseline up.
I sat in gum this morning. I had to pick it off my jeans and scrub down my belt in the bathroom.
I really want Oakland Gyros on the way home.
But I should just settle for my frozen pizza at home.
