Haman exited the enormous hangar in her newly acquired Gaza C.  The terrain was desolate.  Bizarre…  She was given a mobile suit by some generous people(??!) to leave as she pleased, and apparently, a clear exit.

She felt compelled to explore a little bit, considering this was a completely foreign place.  It felt she didn’t go particularly far ( Read more... )

That pressure... So familiar, and yet impossible to place. Char was here too. Then that could mean...

Amuro found himself drawn to the source of that pressure- that odd sensation. He felt oddly vulnerable in such an old suit, but the fact that Char had also been in an older suit emboldened him- he drew closer to investigate.

Scirocco wastes no time in taking the Messala for a field test, such as it were. He isn't surprised to find his machine manuevers superbly in the atmosphere of this planet. Nor is he surprised to learn that this planet is no Earth, though he allows the slightest flicker of disappointment to rush through him. Earth has been a long-held goal. Earth would have been... interesting.

The Messala's targeting grid lights up with yellow dots, and Scirocco smiles wolfishly.

"Maybe things will get a little interesting after all..."

No sooner do the words leave the Jovian's lips than the pressure hits him, hard and sudden. His smirk doesn't flicker, but it does tighten, becoming something less languid and somehow more dangerous, sharp and alert.

Pressure from both sides... one is familiar, but the other...

Scirocco has no intention of allowing himself to be caught in a pincer trap. He keeps the Messala well above the GM squadron for now, curious to see how this meeting between NewTypes will play out.

The Gaza C whipped around, full thrust toward the source of the most irritating pressure exerted on her.

“A… A Gundam??? Are you kidding me?! “ She wondered aloud, beside herself by all the weirdness that’s been happening recently. What was going on with all these massively outdated mobile suits?

Gaza C lifted a beam rifle and fired a stray shot at the Gundam that seemed to be giving her the biggest headache ever.

That pressure- Amuro pulled back the accelerator in time to see a flash and a debris cloud from a beam shot that had come precariously close to connecting.

"What the-" Amuro quickly checked his sensors to find the culprit just at the edge of his detection range-

"A... Gaza?" Nothing here made sense, but- "Somebodies in that one..."

"Unidentified Gaza, respond- this is Lt. Amuro Ray of the Londo Bell task-force. Disarm and surrender, or I'll be forced to engage!"

At first she was taken aback by the name calling her over comm. Amuro? That is not normally someone she would feel comfortable engaging under normal circumstances. But then it hit her.

These are most certainly not normal circumstances.

“Amuro Ray, this is Axis leader Haman Karn. Get out of my way, I just want off this god-forsaken planet!”

Not normal at all. This was confidence inspiring! With the man so feared for his Newtype powers in such a dated mobile suit, she was hardly intimidated. If she had to fight him, she absolutely would, but it certainly wasn’t a priority. The Gaza C flew toward the Gundam, with full intention of passing him completely in favor of finding out where the other, more familiar, pressure was coming from.

"Haman Karn!?" Impossible. She had died years ago during the first Neo Zeon uprising, hadn't she? Then again, nothing else here made sense either...

"And if I let you pass, then what?" Amuro wasn't exactly intimidated either- It had been years since Axis fell, and he'd only just been fighting over it's burned out husk.

"...Or are you trying to say you know a way out?"

She stopped the Gaza, though still a bit wary of Amuro, regardless of what mobile suit he was currently piloting. Though something struck her a bit strange about the way he was asking what she knew. She spoke with caution, though trying to dig for information about the current situation.

“Well… no. I don’t. Surely it’s not hard. I mean, I was given this suit. So if you don’t want to get out of my way, I will be forced to engage your rickety old Gundam.” She smirked, feeling a little cocky over her feelings of superiority.

"What a coincidence... So was I. Don't underestimate me, Haman! This gundam isn't just for show." Haman was confident, alright. He could feel it. Maybe to confident... But Amuro didn't doubt his own abilities even in an outdated mobile suit, and he wasn't going to be taken lightly.

"Unless you know something I don't, getting here is completely different from getting out! I haven't seen so much as a single ship-port yet... We're on our own out here!"

"On our own? Don't be foolish. Surely you sense somebody else around here too. You're just the first mobile suit I've run into with a person actually in it." She grimaced, beginning to feel like she was being patronized.

"What do you mean, no ship-ports? Surely you simply haven't been looking. I mean... how did you get here if there are no ship-ports!" She was getting irritated with him very quickly.

The Gaza C fired another warning shot at the Gundam. Haman was losing patience.

The Gundam quickly boosts out of the way of that shot, but Amuro is undeterred. Somebody else around... She must mean Char- unless...

"Look around, Haman! Unmanned mobile suits, facilities nobody is operating, completely uncharted terrain? This isn't normal!"
