Lookee at my new baby!  Not as good as my beautiful boy, but hee! so cute!  I went Ren Faire-ing this weekend and spend an unexpectedly large amount of money, but!

A) I got him, and he is worth it.
B) Two new Ruth Thompson pics
C) Ruth Thompson remembered me (and my beloved) from two years ago and that is awesome!
D) Got me a some tail.  No, really, it's red fox and lovely.
E) Decided where I want to spend money next year if I can.

And most importantly;

F) I may have talked Madame Thompson into a Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse picture!

Oh, you wanna talk about blowing my mind!  First it was "Ooh, she did Lucifer", then it was "The new knight is all kinds of cool", and then "Which parts of my work do you like?"  Duh, everything, woman, I luv you with the fangirling of a thousand suns!  Okay, while that starry eyed enthusiasm was shining on my face I have learned from the other times I have asked this question and failed miserably at it.  Let me give advise so that you don't meet my demise.

It's not that people don't love hearing you say that you love everything, it's that they want some substance behind the answer.  What do I mean?  Well, they want a way to focus on the future.  What about their work makes you go I will buy/read/whatever this ten years from now?

I responded that I have her whole Archangel series and that Lucifer was the perfect way to end it.  I like that her new knight picture took her into new colors that I was very much looking forward to seeing more of, and that if perhaps she was thinking of adding a "Four Horsemen" to her series.  Then it was on like Donkey Kong.  We ran over the fact that Supernatural was an awesome tv show and that with all the lore she was researching why not?  In fact, she has a picture in progress that she showed a copy of that had five horsemen that were knights.  She said that she was pleased with the horses but not the knights.  Then I mentioned that there was a line of thought saying there was five horsemen to fear rather than four.  She asked who the fifth was in that instance.

Oi, theology from my past hits me when I least expect it.  I now remember that my childhood church said that there was indeed the four horsemen, then added the Antichrist as the fifth leading the charge from hell, but at that time all I could say was I don't remember. *smacks head* She'll make up her mind after she does her research and there are implications of it out there.  If there is a work coming out of this, I'm going to point and say (in my head) I helped inspire that!

Oh, and Ruth Thompson is a WOW-er.  Hee!

Okay, the baby is awake and whining.  He had a wonderful time at the Faire, but was sick then and is sick now.  Craaanky baby.  I need to attend his highness.
