Inviting and Enticing
i think that's the lyric to "Across the Universe".... "inviting and enticing me..."??
but yeah. i asked my dad to go to the store and buy 蔥油餅 and he came back with a lot... i'm so happy!! it's funny that something so simple can make me so happy. it's like those good ol' days when i was a little kid and buying me those silly little flipping dogs from KBtoys satisfied me. and apparently, lobster was on sale, and my dad bought a whole bunch of that too~~ he's steaming it down stairs and the smell that wafts up the stairway is just so enticing!!! ... hence the title of this journal.
hmmm... what has happened since my last journal post...? well i've been really getting into photography lately. so much, that i dug our old SX-70 polaroid camera out from our closet and modified it to be able to use 600 film (because the film originally meant for my camera was discontinued...) i joined the online polanoid community, which is for polaroid photos only.... and i must say it can be really inspiring!! makes my whimpy polaroids look like crap. i've only taken 8 practice shots so far, all on the same day (in which jon and i basically frolicked around the park taking photos). i really need to ration my film, cuz those are expensive!! 10 shots for $15!!! though, a 2 pack (20 shots) is $25, saving me $5. i'm thinking one shot a day, though if i don't use it on that day, it will work like roll-over minutes and can accumulate. so since i've used 8 last weekend, i can only use 6 this week.
i'm trying to plan a surprise for jon on valentine's day. i'm thinking of visiting the school around 2nd period to serenade him outside the art room door. the song "sea of love" by cat power. it's on the juno soundtrack... but i need to find a guitar.... i had a small child's guitar, but we lent it to a relative and i must get it back one day... not much time!! i don't even PLAY guitar, but the tabs sound pretty easy... and i need to practice! i'm terrible at playing a musical instrument and singing at the same time!! guuuh. from the looks of it, i won't be able to do it, but i want to try! worst comes to worse, i'll make a recording of the guitar part and play it on a boom box or something. i must at least visit the school that day, if things don't go as planned. maybe turn things around and give HIM flowers.
