This is certainly an improvement on my part. Instead of posting only at the end of the week, I managed to post again in a matter of days. This calls for a celebration :D
Anyway, that aside, today was pretty... shall we say, eventful.
Early this morning, I was reading Blood and Gold, one of Anne Rice's books. I love that book. it is so beautiful I don't know if any discriptions I give will give justice to the book. It's a wonderfully crafted tale with historical facts andta streak of myth and legend. The story line is superb and the characters are just fabulous. Rice's vampires are beautiful, deadly, immortal and actual human in some aspects. She always goes back to how some part of them is so lonely and how they long for companionship. The angst is lovely. It's nothing like the vampire's of Twilight. It's a little weird but let me rant. I really didn't understand the story. I read halfway through the book and I had no idea where the plot was going. The vampire's were just weird. They drank animal blood (because for them drinking human blood would make them as savage as their brethren) They sparkle in the sunlight and don't die. They're practically invincible. Did I mention that they were just plain weird? D:
The main character is kind of like a mary-sue. I mean, she get's into life threatening situations and she just WON'T die. She keeps getting saved by Edward (the main male character who is the vampire) who everyone is apparently lusting over. Not in the book, in real life. I've read and heard too many claims that they belong to him. Egads. Please, I beg of you guys, if you want to get into his pants, keep it to yourself. I do not want to hear people screaming or having a status in YM that says "Mrs. Edward" God forbid. Anyway, I got sidetracked. I'm basically waiting for the character to get killed or just become a vampire already. I don't know why Edward-boy is so against it. She gets to stay with him and he get's a companion for the rest of eternity. You think he'd be happy.
Anyway, we had Biology and we talked about the cell. It's okay I guess but kinda boring. Sometimes though, the analogy is funny. My seatmate and I discovered that our teacher has a blind spot, meaning, he doesn't seem to notice our little area of the room. It's odd but hey that allows me to goof off a bit. We had Filipino period after and there was a group report. It was on Florante and Laura of course. I still say the story is boring and sometimes stupid. I recognize the gayness there though. I don't think I'll be able to ever read something involving at least a couple of manly or girly male characters without thinking at least once that it's gay. I can't help it I guess XD
After recess, we had double period CLE. We discussed more on the passion of Christ. I'm really amazed at how much I've learned from CLE this year. I think I've learned more this year that I have in the whole grade school. Well, maybe it's more accurate to say, I'm finally understanding instead of memorizing. It's just awesome. We had math after and I think no one really paid attention. Who could when we were all silently counting down to the KKK registration? Oh, KKK is Kakaibang Klase which is like a day of alternative classes. We get to pick a course we wanted and do that for the whole day instead of regular classes. I wanted the Doctor for a Day but it was full so I went to the Senator for the Day. D: God forbid. The story behind this is kinda funny. Originally, I wanted to be a Senator for a Day but after talking to my dad, I decided not to. So my friend and I agreed that we would be doctors. Unfortunately, the other slot was already taken so my friend signed up for the course and I went to another. So in a sense, I got my wish. I hope that it isn't boring. I will sleep if all we have to do is listen to a senator or someone from the senatorial office talk to us. I hope our venue is nice also.
The one thing I did not like was the running part. I swear to God, our stampede was worse than those of wild animals in Africa. I was literally crushed against the door. I was pushed by the mob and pinned to the door. I felt the door bending behind me and I was afraid the it would break. I can imagine it now... "Student injured in brutal riot over an activity in school" D: I hate the stupid system. If they don't want anyone to get hurt, they should change it.
PE was a little odd. We went to the Sports Complex and Sir Alan wanted us to do stretches and some stunts to warm up to our cheerdancing activity. D: Why must we cheerdance for the enth time? Do they WANT us to become cheerleaders? Lucky varsity members, they're exempted. D: It's kind of fun doing stunts (like front and back roles, head stands, cart wheels etc) but I just don't like dancing. Is it my fault I have difficult moving my limbs to the beat of the music? Gaaah. Ms Baylon spent most of Social time lecturing us or rather getting mad at us for screaming and running in the hallways. I spent most of my time sleeping in a position that made me seem like I was brooding over her words. Haha. I kind of feel bad but it was just.. weird. I do respect her but I don't consider her my mother (she called herself our "mother") I'm grateful for what she has done for us but I do not put her on that high of a podium. I have very few people I respect and trust to that degree. My teachers do not have that much power over me. After our talk, we discussed our test scores and then we were dismissed.
I'll be bringing my friend Angel home for the next couple of weeks because her parents are out of town and she only has one driver who has to pick up her brother in Ateneo. We went to the new National Bookstore in Cash & Carry. Yes, it is finally becoming a mall. It's becoming really nice. Iya, I'll bring you there when you come to visit. Then we had tutor and now we're home. My family is watching Fiddler on the Roof (Reperatory of the Philippines play) tomorrow so I wont be able to go to tutor. I still have to study for my math exam on friday D: Ew. Plus other projects due next week with the tests and my dive on sunday. D: Gaaah. CRAM. Sometimes school just sucks. Period.
