Here I am, posting another week late. I was suppose to post a couple of days ago but I ended up changing the layout instead. Talk about distractions. Ah well. Now here's an update on what's been going on.
Monday, I played on the fairway in Kagitingan. The course is pretty cool but relatively easy according to my dad. We played only 9 holes because we weren't sure if me and Raffy were able to handle it. My shots were honestly kind of bad. I mean, I think I scored at least 6 shots or more per hole. I never made par. D: Towards the end, I managed to drive well (like I'm supposed to) Raffy (my brother) also manged to do so at the next hole. In the end, we all scored 60 + in a par 32 course. Hehe. Had we played 18 holes, I have no doubt that we would have hit 120 or more. >_< Oh, to add, I got a driver head cover named Steve as my prize for going on the fairway. He's a duck-a mallard acutally as I was informed-and really cute and fluffy. :D
Tuesday, we went back to school and all of us seemed to still be in vacation mode. Understandable seeing as how we only had 11 days of sembreak. Lucky college people, theirs was longer. I think theirs lasted a month or so. Grrr. Lessons were sabog and very few teachers actually gave us lessons and homework. Wednesday was my dad's birthday. I kind of forgot to greet him in the morning (on account of him being asleep) but I remembered to do so later. Our bio teacher was absent so we had a sub. She was the science coordinator but she was boring. I wanted to sleep but I would have gotten into trouble so I struggled to remain awake. D: We had this Socratic discussion about the Cell Theory too. That came after the part where we "sang" a song composed by 5th graders about the cell parts. It was to the tune of Jingle Bells. I think it was something like this.
Parts of cells, Parts of cells,
I know very well,
Parts of cells, Parts of cells,
I know very well, hey!
Parts of cells, Parts of cells,
I know very well,
Parts of cells, Parts of cells,
There's the nucleus with lot's of information...
I forgot the rest but that's how it was. It was terrible and I never want to do that again. D: We had to sing it multiple times before we satisfied the musically inclined side of our coordinator. Lastly, she gave as homework the task of designing an alternative to Redi's meat and maggot experiment. Honestly, it was the most retarded thing I have EVER done.... or maybe not but you get the point. Gah. Thursday, lessons started to pick up and we had a relatively normal school day with slight after effects of sembreak. Nothing much there.
Friday was also normal-ish except for the fact that we had DOUBLE grammar. It's hard enough for me to stay awake in one session. Must they tempt fate? Gaaaah. For the record, I took a 15 second nap. It was enough that I didn't really understand what the instructions were. Worse, one of our "family" members (this is like a study group, except sir calls it that and we were grouped by seating arrangement) was absent and she usually thinks of the good answers to grammar stuff. D: Clubs was okay. My groupmates and I thought that it was our turn to do something for the club but it was someone else. We did this creative activity that involved making a picture with numerals or symbols involving mathematics and then we watched this movie titled 23. It's a weird psycological/horror film. Odd but it works. This guy Walter gets a book called Twenty-Three and then suddenly there are thse things in his life all linked to the same number. Something like that. I went to the driving range later and my shots sucked. I swear school sucked out all my energy.
Saturday, I played tennis in the morning and it's the best I've played in a while. I played Trace Memory on my DS. It's a little creepy but okay. I watched TV until my dad came later that evening and we went to a debut. It was weird but hey it was kinda fun. I got my taste of what high school parties are like. Believe me, it's a little... strange for my tastes. Very strange. On the bright side, I didn't have to go to the Antonio's party. I always feel like the odd person out there. I hate it. My dad knows it too. On the slightly scary side, I had to watch my dad uh... sort of dance. There was a live band and my dad was in his seat and singing also. He was doing weird things like throwing his hands into the air and stuff. Include here him singing "SWEET CHILD OF MI-INE~" and that's it. I know he was doing that so the people at our table would laugh but still D:
Today, we had a party here for my dad. My relatives came over and we had lunch/merienda/dinner. It was cool and I ah, heard alot of kwento. My tito taught me how to use my dive watch but he was... less than enthused once he discovered I had forgotten alot of crucial diving information. Note to self: Must read dive book before next Sunday. Dani was here also and she's so cute. (baby cousin) She was grumpy during the earlier stages of the party, but later on (when there were less people) she started enjoying herself. I love my baby cousin <3 :D My cousin Mark, competed in a golf tournament today and he was 2nd runner up. Good job Mark and congratulations! My tito says I should compete next weekend in this tournament in Intramurous if only for the experience. I want to but we have this CLE project planned on that day plus a possibly video shoot for Filipino. Gah.
Now here I am, typing this up for once without some homework due tomorrow looming over my head. I'll admit that it's a totally awesome feeling. I should try and do this more. :D
