Wow! It has been an awesome couple of days; the kind of days that make you believe in something bigger than yourself, the kind of days to stay with you long after the moments have passed, the kind of days that inspire you to be the person you want to be.
Saturday, I did the usual uncle-driving gig. After that, Kyle and I got together and videotaped the writing of an entire song, lyrics and music. It was pretty sweet, although it's not our best work, it is a definite addition to our constantly expanding catalogue of music. Right now, we have about 2 cd's worth of music, and we haven't even found a bass player yet! I can only imagine what additional musicians will bring into the mix.
Sunday was the day though...it started off with a BUSY time at church. I played guitar with the church band, I played organ, I directed the choir, and I gave the sermon. On top of that, Kyle played drums for the exit music, and it was just amazing...we played a song called "Your Love" by Jim Brickman, and I was just astonished at how well it fit with everything.
After church, I went to watch my brother play hockey...and it was their best game yet!!! They lost 8-4, but have SERIOUSLY improved since the beginning of the season. On top of that, it is always fun to watch, because they are great sports.
Then, I picked up Brandi in Clio, and we hung out at the German's house for a while. We had some Chinese for dinner, and played darts to pass a little time; it was pretty cool. We left there, and I took Brandi home. We watched Desperate Housewives, Gray's Anatomy, and Alias. :-D And we had some pretty meaningful conversation, which definitely brightened my mood (which once again, was already bright to begin with).
So now, I'm back here at the house, just about ready to go to bed. My life is making more and more sense from day to day, and I don't know how else to say it, but things are GOOD. I come to realize that if I had not taken the path that I chose, I would not be where I am today; and so though I regret parts of my life, I realize it was all for the better. Ah, here I go rambling :-P...okay, catch you later!
