Well, it has been quite a week, to say the least. First and foremost, I am now the proud boyfriend of a wonderful girl. This relationship is something special to say the least, and I can't believe it happened the way it did...it's literally something out of a piece of literature or a really good movie. I could probably write for hours on that topic, but I know that many of you would just click off my page when you saw that the entry was too long to fit on the LJ. So I'll end this paragraph by telling all of you, love will find a way.
On a musical note, our band "The Mourning After" has been hard at work writing new material. The way that things are looking, we may do two entirely different albums to be put out at the same time; a "rock" album, and an "acoustic" album (mostly seperate material, aside from maybe 2 or 3 songs). Our sound is really coming together...now if we could only get the whole band there :-P.
Oh yeah, and I've been asked to give a sermon this Sunday morning. I'm preaching on how everyone is important to this world, and how each person is important to God. It should be a pretty good service, I think; our praise band is going to play, the choir's gonna do a nice little tune, and the pastor gets to sit out for a Sunday (she deserves it, believe you me). Oh, and Kyle and I are going to play one of our rock band's songs on piano/organ for the Prelude...that one may be fun to record.
Hmmm...what else? Oh yes, tonight I went out to Owosso to see the final home game for the Trojans...they ended up winning in overtime, which was quite a sweet deal, and I ran into a guy from camp! He did a grassdance (Native American style) at camp, and plays cymbals for Owosso's Marching Band. We caught up for a minute, and that was nice. Then we played pool for about an hour and a half, just kinda chillaxing. Once again, going back to the first paragraph, it was one of those storybook nights.
But now, the night has ended, as most nights do. And I'm exhausted! But in the best possible way, of course. Anything more I say will just be filler at this point, so without any further ado, have a pleasant day (or night)!
Hang in there my friends,
~Jon
