SO: Michael, who's a piano genius, and I got to talking this morning. Guess what we're going to do? Okay, so this lullaby I wrote, I'm giving him my chord progressions and he's going to arrange an accompaniment, and we're going to perform it, with Jes on harmony (because she's freaking good at it). That's not even the best part!! We're going to make it a jazzy lullaby. Diana Krallify it. We have to perform it anyway for extra credit in theory (and jes and I both need it), so we decided we'd go all out. He's looking for singers, we're looking for a pianist. Do I see a future for a DMJ Trio??? HAHA! No, I see hella extra credit in theory though. NOTHING can take the place of the Dana Deanna Duo (Triple D)
Speaking of Jes being all good and sheisse, I pulled some incredible music from her mouth today. Quella Fiamma, and she totally flipped one on me. Remember how Tara Polley sounds when she sings? That sweet, rich voice? That's Jes. I'm so proud of her. I didn't know I had teaching abilities in me. Was it me? Maybe it's just that I never tried teaching something I actually know anything about.
Damn it I love singing.
Danny Fogal makes me laugh, but not that much.
Michael made my day today. By the things he says to me. Danny made his own day trying to make mine.
