And today's conclusions

Need to study Imaging, Exotics, and Production animals more

Need to get cracking on Extra credit

All fish in my fish tank are dead (and properly disposed of as of 11:45pm)

Froggie is still alive and has been moved out of the tank.

Fairly sure that what attacked the tank was mold. (Xenopus laevis has a natural defense against mold and bacteria, not perfect, but good enough)

Going to drop all but one day a week at the hotel, and that day would me my weekend overnights.

Fish tank needs to be cleaned this weekend (bleached and reset up)

Lizard tank does too

I'm excited about being Vice President of the student chapter. This is neat!

Today we did Xrays on one of the cats that came in this week to get vaccines and neutered. Turns out "Lucky" may not be quite so lucky. During examination yesterday and today the students, CVTs, and DVMs have found a HUGE lump in his abdomen. We did normal Xrays today (poor cat had to survive through 12 of the sucking things.) and found that it is HUGE. It takes up a 1/2 to 3/4 of his abdomen and is pushing his intestines, spleen, and liver all over the place.

I volunteered to run the differential count on "Lucky's" blood and his White blood cell count is extremely high and so is his platlet count.

Tomorrow we're running a series of contrast Xrays on him right after our AM class. :( Poor baby.

Did a full urinalysis on myself today. Go figure, I'm dehydrated. :P Yah think? The fun thing? My pH was extremely low. According to the teacher, and the pH strips I'm "almost" in a hazardous zone. Normal pH is 7.0-7.4 mine was read at 5.0. Oops.

Lastly? I have a headache.

Accomplished since coming home? Fed the critters, cleaned a cat box, took out garbage, changed water dishes, got rid of dead fish, started another load of laundry.

See? I'm getting more organized by the day.

critters, work, school
