I got my 3 pigs around February from a rescue. It is a momma, one of her babies from her first litter and one of her babies from her second litter. When I got them, I was told they were very well socialized, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Unless they just don't like me.
I've tried very hard to socialize them, but I'm really to the point where I've made little progress and I just feel like all I'm doing is stressing them out. They hate being picked up and are sort of okay once I have them picked up, but I can still tell they really don't enjoy it. Just picking them up to move them out of their cage to play, or to clean it, I feel like I'm stressing them. While clipping their nails, you would think I was trying to murder them.
The youngest is a little more friendly that the two older. Depending on their moods, I can sometimes get them to sniff at my hands or take food from me without freaking out but as soon as I try to touch them, chaos ensues.
I'm just jealous seeing all of your pictures where you can actually at least be close to your pigs without them running and hiding.
I understand that this may just be their personality. I don't fault them for it, I have no idea what their life was like before I got them and I love them either way. I still just really hope there is some way I can get them to come around. If anybody has any advice whatsoever, I would really appreciate it.

This is the older daughter, Eris.
