Are tomatio's okay to give a gpig? [tomatios are the green tomato looking veggie with leaves over it.] I heard they were related to gooseberries and one of those charts said gooseberries were okay ( Read more... )

they're spelled tomatillos, so maybe running that through a search will give some good answers.

to use a zip tie, insert the tapered end through the square hole on the other end, and pull the tapered end through until it is the size you want. be careful, as you can only pull it in one direction. clearly, if you're using it to connect two things, wrap it around those things before you insert one end into the other.

Potatoes, tomatoes, eggplants and peppers are also members of the Nightshade family, though. I don't know whether guinea pigs can eat tomatillos or not, but they aren't poisonous to people.

I don't think the OP is talking about feeding her cavies the stalks and leaves of the tomatillo, but the actual fruit itself.
