Couple quick questions

Are tomatio's okay to give a gpig? [tomatios are the green tomato looking veggie with leaves over it.] I heard they were related to gooseberries and one of those charts said gooseberries were okay.

Second, um, I've never used a zip tie in my life and I found a pack for a dollar so I couldn't pass it up. How do I work a zip tie? I know it's a dumb question, but there are no directions on the package.
