Honestly, I found nothing wrong with these two new songs. I was even anticipating for D-Motion after watching the short CM (ask Tammy about this, she knew how I had been excited for a whole month before I got to download this full song). Maybe because my taste is always about upbeat songs.
That's why I don't understand why some people made a fuss about D-Motion performance yesterday, and even about the song. That song is made for DecoTomo DX CM (thanks for some fans who made it clear for me that DecoTomo DX had nothing to do with Docomo LMAO, I sucked, I know LOLOLOL), therefore, I think all the electrical sound and autotune is kinda right. And besides, don't they add in another taste for the song? I know some fans aren't used to this new genre from KAT-TUN; but isn't it good to think that KAT-TUN is willing to try any genre and are flexible to do any kind of genres? So far, I've heard rock, ballad, r&b, pop, even traditional kinda (Moon) etc from them. So in my opinion, it's not a waste to try, to test your ability with new things. And I believe, if you listen to D-Motion more, try to not stick to any of KAT-TUN's old songs and try to feel the freshness they're bringing, I'm sure you will like the song and appreciate the fact that KAT-TUN was brave enough to take on this new task.
About Love Yourself, like I said, I've always loved upbeat songs, so there's no doubt about my liking for this song. The opening beats are just love. I squeezed so hard when I first heard it clearly from the preview. I brought this song over to a manga forum together with lyrics, and people there (who love Yamanade manga) just loved it. I think more than anyone else, manga fans are those who have a clear view about the storyline and characters as they've spent so many months, and even years to read the manga. That's why I was extremely happy when they said the song was just so right for the drama. Despite many people have been saying how boring this song is, I think as long as it suits the drama perfectly, so what? I know there are people who are comparing Rescue with Love Yourself. But they are totally different. Rescue is for a human drama, with many tragedies going on involving emotions; while Yamanade is a purely comedy with a light storyline. Of course, we can't use songs like Rescue to put into Yamanade, it's totally out of picture. And I'd rather disappointed with the song if that happened. I prefer a themesong that reminds me of the drama Kame was in, instead of a very distinct song but totally non-relates to the drama.
That's all I want to say. I just hope people could appreciate KAT-TUN's effort on trying new things, enjoy the songs and keep supporting them *blushes*
XD~XD~ I can't wait to get my hands on my copies XD~
