Well, an update for those that are interested.

Michael's broken his spine iat his c1 (just below the skull) his c7 (just as the neck merges with the spine.) Both of these are relativly minor, and have had no effect on the spinal cord what so ever. So, he's stuck in a solid neck brace for the next 4-6 weeks. He's also fractured the curvy part of his pelvis, but all these injuries are relativly minor for the most part. The one thats caused the damage is on his t-3/4, which is really just about the middle of the back. The vertebrae here have squeeshed his spinal cord and caused a whole pile of bruising, so we don't know what's happening with that, good or bad, until the swelling goes down. Even then, there's pretty much a gaurentte that many of the nerves will be unable to recover, so he could have any varation between no feeling/movement regained from his nipples down, to near enough full resortation.

It's a lot of waiting and seeing what happens, because of waiting on swelling to go down. What we do know is he's flat on his back for 4-6 weeks, cos of the c1 and c7 injuries, unable to move or look about, which is what is really hard for him at the moment, Michael is dead active like me, so as a result that must be killing him. But, on the plus side he;s in a hospital where there is a bunch of other injured marines, and because of the number of marines he knows most of them so they visit and give him good banter. And, plus, he knows a good number of lads who have broke their backs and are doing really well. Which is even better cos it;s keeping him positive.

So, all in all, he's good. Ansd thank you, to everyone who has shown concern and support, thank you all so much it really means a lot. :-)

In addition, my wisdom teeth are coming through and my gum is all swollen and I;m making emergency appointment at the dentist tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to eat again.

Thanks everyone, it really means a lot.
