another political outburst. it's been coming for a while.
all i have to say is this:
fuck illegal immigrants.
having been in close contact with them, worked with them, and even friends with them, i still believe that they should never be enfranchised nor should they take advantage of federal benefits that barely will be afforded to us. yes, you say, "they are people too!" but they are people who snuck into the country from theirs. also, you may point out that I am the first american-born descendent of a family of immigrants. well, my family did things the hard way. They faced the fear of deportation when their visas expired and couldn't get a job, but they stuck through it and eventually were nationalised. citizenship is something that has to be earned and is a measure of integrity. frankly, i wish half of you couldn't vote.
and those of you chastising bush for saying something along the lines of "those who emigrate to the US should learn english and sing the star spangled banner in only english," should be fucking shot.
also, thomas jefferson never said "dissent is the highest form of patriotism" as many of you rally constantly. ugh.
