tonight at work + summer plans '06 = a whole lot of rambling
okay, so i'm totally covered in glitter. gene called me back to seasonal tonight to help the rest of the team out with reshop. i grab a bunch of toys, and turn around to put them back and i hear "whooooosh" followed by laughter. my mouth spills, "what the fuck?" (or at least i'm told.) and i turn around to find gene holding a can of glitter spray. great. so i run to find something to throw at him and rich rolls a can of spray snow towards me. i pick it up, yell "thanks." and run after gene. he gave up running halfway through market and i nailed him, from his head to his waist. his hair had it all over the place. it was fucking hilarious. after work, we all went to b-dubs and hung out. napoleon covered my beer since my check hadn't cleared yet. DAMN YOU NATIONAL CITY. also, i ordered my iskin for that damn ipod today. i paid an extra ten dollars for 24-48 hr shipping, but when i logged in to track my order i found that they aren't filling orders yet. i'm pissed. if they don't update by tomorrow, i'm writing a strongly worded letter to them. other than that, all is calm on this front. i have the next two days off. i'm dedicating them to cleaning the apartment, spending time with my annie buns. <3 teh hamster! and uh... just nothing. oh yeah, i'm going to pick up a couple of dvds tomorrow! i have them picked out. true romance (director's cut), Daredevil (director's cut), Ghostbusters 1 & 2 double pack, and Wedding Crashers (uncorked edition). i'm stoked. i've been waiting on the ghostbusters and true romance for a very long time. these are exactly the kind of expenditures i need to cut down on if i'm going to do as i plan in the next section of the entry...
okay, so i'm thinking in my journal here. i'm planning my round the world trip for next summer. july 10th to the 31st specifically.
here's what it looks like. it'll cost a shade under $2k, which i can probably save by then. living accomodations should be free in paris, london, new delhi, and guwahati, so i think i'm gravy aside from spending money. hmm. looks like this might just happen yet! i'm really stoked. now the problem is finding someone that's not only willing to go with me, but willing to part with 2 grand i can shave off 200 dollars off of the total if i drive to new york. i could then also visit my cousin and his wife in princeton. then, on july 10th, i fly from pittsburgh to paris, where i'll stay with meena aunty and jim. they rock. sometime, i'll find a way to go to britain to visit the kumars and also roohi (i can only hope) and then to germany to meet up with kevi and murad for a couple of days. then, on the 21st, i'll fly to new delhi where i'll stay with my cousin mumu and her new hubby. on the 25th, i'll fly to guwahati and rock out in the flat on ward street. on the 30th i'll fly back to new delhi and then back to pittsburgh. i'm thinking, though, for 2 grand, i might just extend the dates at each waypoint a little while. i want to really experience paris this time. if i push the dates back a full month it adds around a hundred bucks to the trip, but by then i should have some french down. it'd be worth it. we'll see. i think starving the next few months would be worth accomplishing my life long goal. i might actually postpone this until winter of '06. it'll be more costly, but i might also add other sidemissions. i'd love to see vienna. and munich would deserve more than two days for sure. shit. i've got my work cut out for me.
edit @ 6 AM: on a plus note, my credit score is up to 622. it's low still putting me in 31% percentile, but if i make my minimum payments on my credit card for the next 3 months it'll got up to 662. paying off my balance of $183 when i get my next paycheck (which i will, anyway) alone will put me up to a 702 which is damn impressive for someone of my stature (credit-wise, not height. credit has nothing to do with me being nearly a midget!). i'm stoked. i don't know what to do with this new found credit though. maybe i'll finance a guitar. GREAT IDEA! (sarcasm.)
