Arlans Funeral
Have been trying to think about what to write about Arlan's Funeral. Was able to make it to it, and that was good. Was able to express others condolences that were not able to get there. The news didn't seem to travel as fast as I expected.
The service was nice. The hand bell ringers were an unexpected highlight. The people who spoke, were not only family and friends, but also co-workers. Everyone seemed to acknowledge Arlan's unique perspective on life. His gregariousness, and ability to engage in thoughtful conversation. His ability to try things just for the challenge.
Since then other high school friends have been reaching out to each other. His memory is still vivid in all our minds.
We continue to pray for his family, that they may have comfort.
