Voted this morning
I voted this morning...
I had this weird idea that I wanted to be first in line, then I realized that the polls opened at 6am,
and that I like my sleep. Anyway set the alarm for 5:40, and got to the polls around 6:20,
to find a line out the building. Glad I got there early enough to get the vote in and not be rushed
getting Liam to school.
I also was selected randomly to be in the CNN exit poll. I dislike some of the questions, like
what was your most important issue.... as if I can only be for or against one thing.
Also the local paper was taking pictures of willing people with a white board that they wanted to sum up why
they voted in one word. I chose AMELIORATE (to make better) I wonder if anyone else will use that word :)
I guess Teaching the SAT has been improving my vocabulary :)
Even though the line was long and I walked the whole process took less than an hour (and only about 15 minutes
from getting in line to casting my ballot. (about 250 people were ahead of me according to the scanning machine counter)
