A Fine Day Was Had By All

Well, my Mother's Day was perfectly lovely. Guav and Bea called me first thing in the morning, and wished me a happy Mother's Day, and invited me out for lunch with them and Brixton. How's a mother to say "NO", and why would I want to anyway?! SO they rolled up at 1P.M. and we went out to a Thai restaurant that Guav and I had gone to once while brixton and Bea were away visiting relatives first in Cali, and then in Texas.

The kids gave me three cards, one with Brix's handprint, and another with a drawing he made of himself. Not too bad, either. You could tell it represented a person.

My Karen called me in the morning as well, so I was happy to be able to talk to both my offspring in one day. She's a peach, that daughter of mine. I so wish that she and Guav had grown up together, but things worked out for the best, and her adoptive Mom, Shirley, did a wonderful job of raising her, and graciously encouraged Karen to find me. We're both lucky ladies to have that dear girl in our lives.

I am triply blessed, because Bea, my Daughter- In-Law is also so very special. I am surrounded with love, on so many levels. Oh! Karen's bio Dad, Liam, also called me to wish me greetings of the day, and I spoke to two of my best friends as well to pass the wishes of the day on to them.

In the evening, the kids went to the Roses and hung out with them.. So, yeh, the day was lovely all around

I have begun working on a crocheted pineapple throw that Bea requested for her living room.....very vintagey and pretty. One square is almost done. MANY more to go. Luckily, Bea's birthday isn't until the end of August!
