Hi everybody! I'm alive and well, and living in Syracuse, just ten minutes away from Guav, and his family. I moved at the end of last August into senior housing. It's really nice because I have my own apartment, which is wheelchair accessible, with an open floorplan in the living room, and there is a community room downstairs where people can socialize with their neighbors and friends and family. The best of both worlds.
I am still the mad crafter, and am presently immersed in several projects, both sewing and crochet. Additionally, I am learning a new quilting technique: fabric origami. Life is good, and I am very happy.
I can't remember if I shared this with you or not, but three years ago, my daughter whom I gave up for adoption back in 1968, found me and we have been enjoying a lovelt relationship ever since. Two years ago her biological dad and I went down to Austin to meet her, and we all had a marvelous time. Karen is fantastic, and her dad and I couldn't be prouder of her. A couple of Christmasses ago, Guav and Bea met Karen when they were in Texas for the holidays. Karen lives in Austin, but had come to Dallas. for Christmas. They all hit it off and it was at that time that Bea inv ited Karen to a surprise birthday party for me in the following November. The party was held in a Bed and Breakfast and Bea did her usual stellar job of producing a marvelous surprise with old friends and cousins of mine attending. The piece de resistance was Karen showing up with her dad, my old HS love.
That's pretty m uch what I've been up to since I last checked in. Oh! How could I fail to mention this? My younger sister, Natalie had a baby girl in November she named Rosalie. She loves being a Mommy, and the baby is a peach. My little grandson, Brixton, will be 3 years old in August, and continujes to thrill us with his smarts and his cutes. He is really something and I adore him. His parents are wonderful parents and dote on the little fella.
Okay. That's it for now. Later!
