....it's a cinch. Yard by yard, it's very hard. As my dear Aunt Irmchen is known to remind me frequently, when I'm faced with what seems like a daunting task. So, in view of this, I just finished making slipcovers for the two big cushions which reside on my porch glider/loveseat. Voila! Success! Lookin' good. I have to finish putting up my periwinkle blue, sheer scarf valances in each of the two living room winwdows, which will be entwined with faux ivy. The bottom 1/4 of the windows are screened with rice paper and bamboo matchstick, horizontal shades which I made by recycling regular shades.
The push is on! Tuesday my company arrives. Mina and her three kids are coming from Ohio, and I want it to be really nice in here by the time they get here. I still have to make a seat and back cushion for the glider/loveseat, and slipcovers for same. I have a twin sized egg crate mattress topper aound here somewhere. That should be pretty easy to cut into cushion sections, eh? Now....where is my electric knife that Natalie gave me three or four years ago?.......
I also need to change all the bedding and tidy up the two bedrooms, and clear the last of the unpacked boxes on the living room floor.
To be continued....
