Work, Familly, and Motor Vehicles

All I ever seem to have time for nowadays are these quick and dirty life updates (which - is anyone reading this crap anymore?). I solemnly swear that NEXT month I will start posting fic that I've been keeping locked up unintentionally.

So, my audit at work is over - thank you JESUS. I passed with flying colors with no findings (that were my fault - we had one but it was something from years ago so it wasn't my bad). As a result, I feel a LOT less stressed (nothing could come close to the feeling of euphoria when the auditor left!). As a result, our license is renewed and my boss was so impressed with the job I did, he gave me a $150.00 prepaid Visa card!

I took my mom and dad out to dinner with it since Daddy was the one to help me get the job in the first place. And I still have about half the money available. I don't know what I'm going to do with it.

My next project (aka thorn in my side) is finishing up the moving out process. I packed up the bathrooms this weekend and I'll probably pack up everything on my computer desk later today. I also need to start packing my clothes and shoes, come to think it. We're hoping to be finished with the moving out by next weekend so that we have time to gut the house BEFORE the contractors come in to lift the house. BTW, we're lifting it 15 ft. Hello STAIRS.

In other news, my brother is a hazard area. First there was the mud incident (see last entry - yes we did find that guy), then the NEXT DAY, the bro goes out to hunt with his friend, takes a wrong turn, and gets STRANDED ON A BEACH (the tide went out like in five minutes) for the ENTIRE DAY, he didn't get home till 6:30 that night after the tide went back in. Then a few days AFTER that, he was on his way to bring his boat to have some body work done (the propeller got damaged from cutting through the beach) in New Ibera (roughly 2 1/2 hours away) when he caught a blow out on his boat trailer on top of a BRIDGE >-< He couldn't get his jack free of the truck (it was bolted or something) so my dad had to drive all the way to him and bring him a jack so he could put the spare on.

Only Matt would have so much trouble.

And that's pretty much all that's going on with me. I hope everyone is having a good 2011 so far. (Can you BELIEVE it's the end of January already??????)
