Ok, long story short.
Due to rampant stupidity and personal negligence, I've been unable to get an NC Driver's Lisence. This has been a source of stress because state id is what starts the clock on my residency. Then, the other day it came to me in a blinding flash of light.
There are OTHER forms of state id.
Yes, yes, I know. It was something of a 'Duh!' revelation, but I've been so caught up in getting things put together that Other Options haven't been occuring to me.
I e-mailed the NC DMV this morning to ask if such a thing was possible and I got my response a few minutes ago.
In sort, the answer is YES!
