i took the boat to africa today
just so i could eat at one of those diners
the ones that serve humanity
and i ordered myself a big spread

after i leave a generous tip
i think i will go hunting for wild beasts
not because i need to
but because i need something for my wall
like a picture of myself
shaking hands with nelson mandela
for my brave efforts, defending equality

i discovered this program in a magazine
there was a full color folding pamphlet
it included celebrity pictures and testimonies
i researched my options and finally settled
