Sleepless in Seattle

So I finally got a call from my friend Daniel confirming the dates for my Seattle visit. The stay will be for about six days in which he will show me around his new found home with a detour to Vancouver, Canada! YAY! Not only am I FINALLY taking some vacation time, but I'm FINALLY getting to use my passport! It's ridiculous how excited I am just to get a little stamp in my passport.

What's really exciting is that I'm getting out of this city and its bullshit weather. For the past several months it's been consistently cold, windy and gray outside. I know it's April but ENOUGH already!!! I'm sick of exiting the house and being greeted by a big ol' lump of depression on the way of work. That damn gray cloud hangs over my head the whole entire day and I'm just tired of representing the weather outside. So yea, though I wish I could be sitting on a sunny beach somewhere by the ocean with a cocktail in my hand, a new adventure in a new city is just as relaxing.

Traveling is seriously my crack... I crave it and go through serious withdrawals without experiencing it for an extended amount of time. It helps me see the bigger picture. That there is more than just my melodrama that makes the world turn. I just need some time to clear my head. To figure things out, and I can only do it when I'm not constantly in my everyday.

I'm not sure how I'm going to actually afford this trip, but things always tend to work itself out. :)

P.S. Just finished the first installment in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and it was bloody brilliant. I'm glad I've decided to finally give J.K. Rowling a chance. This book is truly for all audiences, not just the kiddies. Definite page turner. :) On to the next book!
