the obligatory new year post

Well this is the first time that I have updated from Conyers in months..weird. What is even more strange is having been here for the past 2 weeks. Conyers looks so different now..so many new stores/restaurants/roads. I've been working pretty much nonstop since the break has started though. My days consist of waking up at an ungodly hour, working all day, getting home and eating dinner, talking to people/watching tv for a little while, then going to bed at like 9..lol. I feel like an old woman. But I'm really liking having the extra money. I need to start saving for Spring Break..me and Whit want to go to the beach together..which will be very fun :)

So anyway..Christmas was great. I got lots of DVD's (9 to be exact..which will be a nice addition to my colllection in Kennesaw), perfume, the hottest jacket EVER, lots of clothes (well, money, but I bought clothes with it), a new purse, and this really pretty bracelet with my initials engraved on it. This was also the first year that I have been financially able to actually buy my family presents with my own money. It felt really good to do that. I got my dad a Ga Tech shirt, Ga Tech decal for his truck, and a Ga Tech magnet (yeah..he likes Tech, lol)...got my step mom a University of Miami magnet, a Miami Dolphins decal for her car, and 2 pair of pretty gold earrings (she loves gold jewelry)...got my mom a really pretty lighthouse lamp (she collects lighthouse things)..got my brother a Ga Tech t-shirt and keychain...and I got my step sister some pajama bottoms and some cute earrings ~ it was really nice to be able to get them all something..and I kept it a secret too..lol..we were all opening gifts and everyone was almost done when I ran upstairs and got all the ones that I had wrapped so beautifully..hehe. They all liked em and that made me feel good :)

I guess now is the time for the "look back on 2005"...

2005 brought a lot of changes..some good, some not so good..but I did learn a lot.
In 2005:
-I got to finally compete in Columbus for the GHSA State Cheerleading Championships. We ended up getting screwed over again in the judging, but that is only fitting considering our past experiences. I am just glad that I finally got to go to state, especially since it was my last cheerleading competition.
-Had the worst job I have ever had..at Applebee's. It was definitely a learning experience..I would never want to waitress at a restaurant like that again.
-Afterwards got one of the best jobs I've had, at Shane's Rib Shack/Jack's Babyback's. Met a couple really cool people and always had a good time when I went to work.
-Went to Saint Augustine with my senior class...had lots of fun
-Graduated :)
-Went on my first unsupervised trip..to Panama City.
-Started working at Millennium Mats..making good money
-Got royally screwed over by my ex...and I mean ROYALLY
-Got very close with one of my roomies, Whitney..and I am so thankful for her..she has helped me through a lot and is one of my best friends and I love her to death
-Survived my first semester of college and ended with 4 A's and 1 B...not too shabby

And as for resolutions..
-stay out of bad situations
-eat more healthy
-exercise more often
-enjoy life..laugh more..cry less
-nap less (haha..like that'll happen)
