"In the Leading Edge of Shadow" away to Flash Fiction Online
"In the Leading Edge of Shadow" is a science fiction flash story I wrote recently. It is a testament to the adage that it takes at least two ideas to make a story. One of the ideas in this story occurred to me twelve years ago, but didn't have enough legs by itself. The second idea came to me when I drove under this spectacular storm cloud and thought to myself, "it's the mothership...."
I've just submitted "In the Leading Edge of Shadow" to Flash Fiction Online, a great e-zine founded in part by some of the Liberty Hall denizens. You should check them out.
Flash Fiction Online just turned a year old, and has been paying professional rates from day one. I've really enjoyed reading them this past year, and set a goal to publish something with them. We'll see how that goes.... :-)
