I think most of us are against DADT for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is because the military doesn't follow its own rules. They're not supposed to ask, and the soldier/sailor is not supposed to tell. However, if other people tell, then they gay servicemember gets kicked out anyway.

A sixth-grade girl wasn't allowed to give a class presentation on Harvey Milk to her entire class, and had to give it at recess to the kids whose parents allowed them to hear it. Apparently it says "rainbows are gay" and some teachers were offended, so the principal told him he couldn't wear it anymore. Queers Kick Ash an anti-smoking campaign that got some queer kids in serious, unjustifiable, trouble and a straight girl received different consequences for the same action.

A principal in Tennessee suspended a graduating for three days for participating in the National Day of Silence. The ACLU is bitch slapping the school. The principal claims it was benevolent protection. Apparently it's easier to punish the victim than address harassment or hatred caused by the perpetrators.
