Safe Schools Act introduced in Congress
For the first time, federal legislation targeting bullying on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity has been introduced with bipartisan support.
Will it go anywhere? Who knows. One would hope that anti-bullying efforts wouldn't be politically contentious, but I'm not naive. Or unaware of how slowly legislation can wind through the congressional bureaucracy.
